The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, Asheville, NC. Private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Seven Distinct Communities

Scattered over 20,000 acres covering the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Cliffs is a collection of seven Luxury communities dedicated to providing members with the highest quality of life in one of the most beautiful corners of the country.

Nestled with care amidst stunning forests, rushing rivers, rolling hills, and tranquil lakes and featuring amenities ranging from a Marina to an Equestrian Center to a Beach Club, each of the seven communities has a unique character.

Club membership affords year-round access to everything the Cliffs has to offer, while residents enjoy the benefits of a private Carolina preserve on the steps of some of the most charming cities in upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina, including Asheville, Hendersonville, Clemson, and Greenville.

Home to some of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in America, designed by legends, The Cliffs understand that more than a sport, golf is a lifestyle.

Gary Player, Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Wright, and Tom Jackson, only The Cliffs offer the opportunity to appreciate the genius of all five world-class players while marveling at the unparalleled natural beauty of the Carolinas.

The Cliffs at Walnut Cove

The tranquil beauty of nature together with the energy and bustle of one of America’s best small cities, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove offers easy access to everything the Carolinas have to offer.

Nestled between the forested hills and cascading waterfalls of Pisgah National Forest and just fifteen minutes from downtown Asheville, start the morning with a walk in the woods and while away the afternoon in a local gallery before connecting with friends at our award-winning Turnkey and Tavern Clubhouse. Globetrotters take note - Charlotte International Airport is just 90 minutes away.

Created to “feel as though you’re playing through a national forest,” the course at Walnut Cove wends its way through woodlands, crisscrossing brooks and streams before opening onto the lush greenery of retired farmland. A Jack Nicklaus Signature design, the PGA TOUR recognized the Walnut Cove course as the only championship golf course to debut in tournament-ready condition.

Beyond the tees, Walnut Cove has even more to offer. Equipped with indoor and outdoor lap pools, as well as tennis and fitness facilities, the state-of-the-art Wellness Center redefines the daily regimen for wellness-minded members, while nature lovers revel in the endless hiking and cycling opportunities afforded by the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway.

At the heart of the Walnut Cove community sits an award-winning clubhouse, The Turnkey and Tavern. Meticulously modeled on 17th century Tudor architecture, but boasting all the modern amenities you could want, it’s an effortless combination of old-world charm and new-world comfort. Connect with friends and family over a meal at the clubhouse restaurant and enjoy the taste of locally grown produce sourced from the community’s very own Creekside Farm.

The Cliffs at Glassy

Where it all began… Once the hiding spot of bootleggers and outlaws, the peaks and crags of Glassy Mountain now play host to a slightly more refined community - The Cliffs at Glassy. Perched atop one of the most famous of the Blue Ridge Mountains, members survey the bounty of nature from every vantage point. From the glass-enclosed Glassy Chapel to nearby Overlook Pavilion to one of the most scenic holes of golf in America, there’s always something to see from The Cliffs at Glassy.

Among the most vibrant of the Cliffs Communities, Glassy members often boast that there’s a “club within a club” for every interest - from yoga to pickleball. Yogis take note, whether on the lawn beside Glassy Chapel or in one of the meticulously-appointed fitness rooms in the Wellness Center, classes convene daily.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or enjoy the occasional round, South Carolina’s only mountaintop golf course is not to be missed. With 75-mile views rivaled only by those at Cypress Point, Pebble Beach and Augusta National, you can’t help but marvel at nature’s treasure from the famous 13th hole.

A Carolina community through and through, The Vally’s unique location offers members access to both North and South Carolina, with Hendersonville, Asheville, and Greenville an hour away. Venture further afield and explore Atlanta, just two and a half hours by car.

Get lost on over ten miles of hiking and walking trails, or venture outside the community to discover the millions of acres of South Carolina’s most verdant natural parks. Come autumn, make the weekend pilgrimage to Clemson in 20 minutes, or enjoy Christmas festivities in Asheville, just an hour and a half away by car. Winding through seven holes of some of the most exhilarating golf The Cliff has to offer, The Keowee Falls course offers a mental and physical challenge for even the most seasoned sportsmen and women. Rising and falling with the elevation and traversing streams, ponds, and fields of wildflowers, it’s no wonder the course was named “One of the Top 10 New Private Courses” by Golf Magazine upon its debut.

Relax after a day of activity with a little pampering at the world-class wellness center. From massages to reiki to facials to body wraps, sample the best in personal care in a spa setting to rival any five-star resort. Or perhaps you prefer to lounge by the heated, no entry pool with a good book before joining friends for dinner in the clubhouse? Savor the best of regional produce prepared by talented chefs to showcase the freshness and variety of the Carolinas’ bounty.

The Cliffs at Keowee Springs

A family-friendly oasis tucked inside South Carolina’s ‘Golden Corner’, minutes away from Seneca, Pickens, Walhalla, and Clemson, The Cliffs at Keowee Springs sits on the doorstep of small-town charm, rich history, a vibrant arts community, and a storied university. And inside the gates? From a private beach club to a Tom Fazio-designed golf course to a newly expanded Bistro serving European-inspired fare, The Cliffs at Keowee Springs has something to delight every member of the family.

Rightly famous in The Cliffs communities for the lakeside Beach Club and surf shop, Keowee Springs enjoys visits from neighboring Keowee Falls and Keowee Vineyards year-round. Whether you arrive by boat or cart, rest assured that you’ll enjoy a warm and sunny welcome. The Outdoor Pursuits team stands ready to equip members for every water sport you might want to explore - canoeing, paddleboarding, water skiing, and wakeboarding - while youngsters make a splash on the waterslide.

Step away from the shoreline for a round of golf and marvel at one of The Cliffs’ most unique courses: three approachable loops of six holes, ideal for a quick round before lunch or a cocktail at the clubhouse. Novice golfers will appreciate the family tees, while experienced athletes can enjoy the challenge of 7,200 yards. No matter your skill level, the sweeping mountain vistas, and panoramic lake views make this course a true “Best of the Best” according to WorldGolf.com, and a pleasure for Keowee Springs golf enthusiasts.

The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards

With the perfect combination of mountain vistas and sophisticated lakeside living, life at The Cliffs Keowee Vineyards revolves around the water. Set off for Keowee Falls and Keowee springs from the private marina, or enjoy panoramic views of the water from the lawn at The Lakehouse, the Cliffs’ most spectacular clubhouse.

Water enthusiasts and golf pros alike will find ample opportunities to pursue their passion at the Vineyards. The full-service marina offers everything a nautical heart could desire, from the fuel dock to boat storage to a private launch, alongside wakeboard, pontoon boat, water ski, and jet ski rentals. Back on land, the eighteen holes of the Keowee Vineyards golf course trace the shoreline, with eight holes on the water and five looking up at the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s no wonder designer Tom Fazio - a community member considers the 17th hole one of the most beautiful he’s designed in the Carolinas.

But the centerpiece of the Vineyards community is, without a doubt, the Equestrian Center. Home to some of The Cliffs’ most beautiful and friendly members, the ten-stall barn and its four-footed residents are always ready to welcome new friends - especially those bearing treats. Experienced riders can refine their trail riding skills in the neighboring Jocassee Gorges Wilderness Area, while those in the mood for something more sedate explore scenic trails leading from the Equestrian Center through wild vineyards of native muscadine grapes.
